I remember back in college, one of my professors gave us a task to do. We had to create a ten minute video assuming that we were professional cooks and giving instructions on how to prepare any dish of our choice, and making sure we focus on preparing the dish, and keeping the kitchens clean.

As one of the greatest culinary schools in our area, it was a bit difficult to get in and graduate with good grade that would be able to get you in one of the best restaurants in the world. The training was just so remarkable, but one that needed you to do hard work.

So I checked around. I visited friends’ kitchens, and examined how their kitchens would look in the video, finally ending with my own kitchen being the star of my video.

Not only was I at home with it, I knew where all the necessary instruments were placed, ingredients and it was just perfect for the video.

I started off by making sure the kitchen was clean, not necessarily boasting of expensive design, but keeping cleanliness as my focal point of the video before you decide on cooking any specific dish.

The video run so smoothly, and the instructions I gave in the video were so easy to follow, and I just looked like a natural in the video.

You guessed it! I got an A plus for that project.

Now, as a chef in one of the local fine dining type of restaurant, I make sure the kitchen is to my liking, and the design suits me. It is airy, it is full of space and most importantly, it is comfortable to move around in.
